Deschamps' men determined to make amends for last-16 exit at Euro 2020

France have been drawn in Group D alongside Austria, Netherlands, and Poland.

The reigning world champions will be looking to go one better than their last-16 exit at Euro 2020, when they were beaten by Switzerland on penalties.

Didier Deschamps' side will be confident of making a strong run in the tournament, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema, and Paul Pogba all in their squad.

However, they will face tough competition from their group rivals, with both Austria and Netherlands ranked in the top 10 of FIFA's world rankings.

Poland, meanwhile, are ranked 26th in the world, but they have a number of talented players in their squad, including Robert Lewandowski.

France will open their Euro 2024 campaign against Germany on June 15, before facing Hungary on June 19 and Portugal on June 23.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the round of 16.
